Self Care and Mindfullness


Your body repairs itself everyday, but each year this process becomes less efficient. Even though this gradual loss is unavoidable, you can take steps to ensure that your biological age is less than your chronological age. Regular exercise, good nutrition, and a positive outlook on life are very important, but stress reduction is also a key ingredient in any successful personal health and wellness program.

Current research reveals that cumulative stress can impair the body's immune system and aggravate many chronic illnesses. Many doctors, therefore, are beginning to prescribe stress reduction activities, such as massage, to enhance traditional treatments for illnesses, pain management, and injury recovery.












However, if massage therapy and other wellness activities are not for you at this time, then one of the best ways for you to relieve stress in your life is to learn to live in the present moment in a very mindful way.


Since each moment of our short lifetime is precious, here are a few daily activities that will help you transform the mundane into the "wonder-full".

Pray, meditate, sing, smile, laugh, listen, create, plant, hug, be aware, forgive, accept, serve, contribute, speak softly, inquire, consider, dream, celebrate, give thanks, love, share, guide, befriend, play, walk slowly, live gently, open up, trust.
